Here's what the Lees have been up to in the year 2014:
January
1 - Keira won an art contest at school
2 - Garrett visited an ENT to find out his raspy voice isn't caused by anything serious, and he should grow out of it.
February
3 - Libby cut her own hair. As it turns out she's very cute with short hair!
March
4 - Garrett got the palet expander in and started wearing headgear to correct his underbite.
April
5 - Richard's transmission on his car bit the dust. Not only did he take the time to fix it himself, he converted his car from an automatic into a manual in the process!
May
6 - Keira got baptized!!
June
7 - Richard starred in a musical!!!
He played one of the leads in Strangers in Nauvoo, a musical that my Dad wrote.
Libby and I added our voices to the production, as well.
July
8 - We had two great family reunions in July!
Lots of fun time camping, hiking, and playing at the beach with both families!
Both were great vacations with people we love to hang out with!
August
9 - We started our first year of homeschool, and we are all thoroughly enjoying it!!!
10 - I got to spend the day with Grams and Mom going out to eat, shopping, and seeing Wicked! It was such a special treat!!
September
11 - Keira started taking violin lessons.
She's really enjoying playing this instrument that she picked out, herself.
October
12 - After 14 months of either no, or part time employment, Richard finally got promoted to full time at the church!!! This was a HUGE relief, and blessing! We are so thankful!
November
13 - Garrett got his palet expander out early; his underbite is gone! Hooray!!!
December
14 - This was our month of medical problems. We finally have insurance, so we've got to try it out, right?
a) Libby caught a bad strain of croup and had to get treatment at the hospital,
and
b) Will broke his collar bone, falling off the kitchen bar stool. Luckily, he's healing fast!
Other things that happened this year:
- We went on lots of hikes; something we all enjoy doing every year!
- Garrett continued to see Mrs Hart for Speech Therapy, making progress little by little with his palet expander in place.
- Richard and I celebrated ten years together in July!
- We all went to Comic Con, all dressed up. It was a blast!
- We added a kitty to our house of pets this summer, who has earned his place by killing mice around our chicken coup, and plays with Max.
Overall, it's been a pretty good year, with lots of improvement! Much, much, much better than the year 2013! We have been greatly blessed and learned a lot this year. We look forward to an even better 2015.
Happy New Year!!!
