This week we continued our study of horses. I bought a good horse book, read from it myself each day, then shared highlights from what I learned, every day after our devotional. We got the horse out of his stall and gave him more room to move around in the pasture. This gave us more interaction with him, and we were able to lead him around the pasture by his lead rope, and continue to build our trust with him.
This week for American Sign Language we learned a lot of weather and season words.
For Math we mostly did chapters out of Life of Fred, or played math games.
For Reading....
Keira began reading Spirit Animals, by Brandon Mull.
Garrett kept reading from his Jedi Academy book.
Libby read Leveled Reader books, and did some lessons from Reading Eggs. At night before bed she listened to books and followed along until she pooped out.
As usual we, as a family, also had Family Reading Time each night with Fablehaven, book 3.
Keira did some experiments with Snap Circuits, which led to some fun with Morse Code.
Garrett did a fun project with Lego Robotics, making a sensor in a flower, which a bee flew around until the sensor went off.
Mr William did math games from with mom and then siblings (Sum Swamp), and even did math lessons on the computer (Math Seeds). He also did some reading lessons with mom from the Book of Mormon, and read books with mom that we got from the library.
Another great week under our belt!
