Last week of school, until our Christmas break! Wahoo!
This week for Science we watched a lot of Mystery Science lessons. The kids were interested in a lot of topics on the website, so we learned about dangerous animals, april fools day, unicorns, goosebumps, and the world population. The have these mini lesson vidoes that answer kid's questions, and they're quite interesting, and get the brain working. The kids always have questions and interest in discovery after watching those lessons.
WILLIAM
Math: Once again William enjoyed a few chapters from Life of Fred. He's learning more about counting, adding, patterns and telling time. He also did some lessons from Math Seeds.

LIBBY
Math: Libby just did chapters out of her Life of Fred book this week. She enjoys it, and always does several chapters at a time.
ELA: She read from Molly, had a discussion of the chapter with her co-op group, and read from a Shakespeare book, about his life. She also did a typing lesson, and a lesson out of The Good and The Beautiful.
Photography: This week Libby learned about caring for her camera. She learned how to clean the camera and properly charge and store it.
Piano: Libby's learning Deck The Halls on the piano this week.
GARRETT
Math: He continued to work on division this week. He's got the idea of long division down, but now he needs more practice to cement it, so that's what he did this week. He also did some logic puzzles that required addition, subtraction to find the tricky answers.
ELA: Any chance he got, he was reading from Wayside Stories. Those books are the perfect level for him, and he enjoys the silliness. He also did a typing lesson and a lesson from The Good and The Beautiful.
Tech: Garrett made different types of vehicles with LEGOs this week. He made a truck, a car, and a 4 wheeler. Some required instructions, and some he created on his own.
Piano: The songs Garrett's working on are Jingle Bells, and Angels We Have Heard on High. He's learning chords, and what the names of them are, and using them in his second song.
KEIRAMath: Keira did a math test during her class at co-op, read about the lives of mathematicians from Mathematicians Are People Too, and did logic puzzles that required using addition, subtraction, divsion, and multiplication in tricky ways.
ELA: She's reading a Nancy Drew book now, to see if she likes mystery books. She also read from her scriptures every day, and did a typing lesson this week.
Ent: For her entrepreneur class this week, we all went to the quilt shop where her teacher works, and got a tour of the place. We learned what services they provide there, how the business is run, and what each of the employees do to help the business run.
Piano: The songs Keira's working on this week are Sonatina, Silent Night, and Canon in D. She is also still polishing up When You Wish Upon a Star, but that's pretty much done, so she spends most of her time on the other songs.
