Our Fun Filled Summer!

As summer comes to a close we are excited to say goodbye to 100 degree weather and big pregnant bellies, and glad that we had made some good memories this summer along the way. We started off our summer by going up to Washington to visit Richard's sister, Jenny, and had a blast hanging out with the Millers, taking Keira to the zoo, and playing around at the beach. We probably won't ever drive there again seeing as it took us 16 looong hours to get home, but we had a good enough time to motivate us to save up for plane tickets to go back some day.

Our next adventure was when we went camping with most of my family up in Paris, Idaho. Keira loved being outdoors the whole time, and we loved the camping expereince like we always do. It was pretty neat to do that with my family, too, because I don't recall ever camping with them before.

The following day we spent at Bear Lake and had a really good time there as well. The long shallow beach made for a great place for the kids to hang out, and the adults made the best of the day by renting jet skis. Richard had his first ride on one and learned why they're so much fun. I even got on one, despite being 8 months pregnant, and Richard had to hold me back from doing things I normally do on jet skis for the sake of the baby.

We finished up our summer of activities by hosting the Lee family reunion up at Payson Lakes Campgrounds. It was another fun camping trip, and even had a sense of adventure when we learned while we were there that there were two bear spottings our first night there in campsights nearby. Keira spent most of her time in the dirt and was covered from head to toe in dirt at the end of everyday.

After that last camping trip we locked ourselves in the apartment until Garrett James Lee made his appearance on August 10th, to finish the summer with a bang! We had quite the eventful summer, and really enjoyed ourselves doing what we love to do most; traveling, playing outdoors, and spending time with our families. Next summer should be even more interesting with two kids under 3!
