Wow! Lots of fairly big things have happened since I posted last, but I just haven't had the time to blog about them! I guess that's what happens when you have three kids. ;) Well, here is what we've been up to the last month:

1. Garrett got tubes in his ears! He's had so many infections that we decided to go through with the procedure, so about two weeks ago we took him in and got it done. They put him under for about 5 minutes, put the tubes in his ears, and had no recovery period once the anesthesia wore off. I'm so glad that he won't be having ear infections all the time anymore!!!

2. Libby had her two week check up about 2 weeks ago and she was doing great! She had gained her birth weight back, and is a healthy little squirt. It was odd to realize, though, that she wasn't even 7 lbs yet, so she hadn't even reached Keira and Garrett's birth weight yet at 2 weeks old! She's so tiny!!! :) She's a great baby so far, too! She eats well, sleeps well, and doesn't cry much at all. She's fun to have around the house. SHE isn't the challenge in having three kids. Three kids has been a challenge. Lots of juggling to get used to and lots and lots of patience to learn on my part. I guess this is the way to learn. :\

3. A few weeks ago (right after Garrett's procedure) Richard was given the opportunity to go down to Las Vegas and represent UVU's audio department at a national convention. He was one of two students chosen to go down, which was big honor! He spent the weekend in charge of the booth, teaching people how to do various audio things and did such a good job that he got multiple job offers from people whom he impressed. He didn't take any of them since we're not at that stage of life yet, but it was very encouraging to know that those opportunities are out there for him when he is ready.

4. What was a great weekend for Richard was a very, very hard weekend for me, left to take care of three kids for 4 days! Thankfully I had help from my mom, but it still left me very frazzled by the end of those 4 days! As it turns out, taking care of three kids is kind of hard to do by yourself for that long of time (insert sarcasm here). And yes, Richard knows how much I rock for letting him do that. ;)

5. One of Richard's film professor's pulled him aside after class one day a few weeks ago and offered him a job. He owns a film studio in Provo and wants Richard to come do film editing for him part time. The details still need to be worked out, but what an honor for his professor to pick him for the job!

(Saved the best for last)
6. Richard entered a contest at UVU to make a video for the business department the week that Libby was born. He and his partner got started late and only had a week to complete it (where others had at least a month), and about 10-15 other people entered it as well. Well, after weeks of waiting Richard got word a few days ago that his video won!!!! Besides that being so exciting on it's own, the honor also came with a $1,000 prize (split between them)!!! We're still beaming from that excitement here! Way to go!!!

Here's the video. Richard and his teammate, James, both did the filming, Richard did the editing, and James actually wrote and sang the music in it.

Congratulation with all the success Richard! I'm so glad you found something you really love to do!
Betsy, do what I do (if you want) PRAY for extra patience. It does make a difference!

That is so awesome that he won. Congratulations!! YAY for Richard!

It's good to hear about how your family is doing. I've been thinking about you guys. Glad your all healthy and doing well. Good luck, Betsy. The adjustment can be frustrating but it will come and you'll forget what it was like to have two. Ditto to Jenny's advice...though you've probably already discovered that with adjusting to having two kids.

Have you noticed an improvement with Garrett??

Take care. Love you guys!
