We dog-sat Lexi (Richard's sister's dog) for a week. The kids loved it, because she actually slept in their room at night, as opposed to Max (our dog) who will only sleep with us. It was fun having her around. She even taught Max how to fetch while she was here!
My mom caught a Woodrat near her house and offered it to us as a pet. Since we already were set up for a rat (we had one years ago) we accepted. Sadly it stunk really bad so we let him go be stinky in the mountains.
For Richard's birthday he got a new hammock. The new one holds 4 people, so it's much bigger than our last one. The kids love to swing in it, and we love it too! It's so relaxing under our beautiful willow tree!
The old one got a new home IN the tree! I love having mature trees in our yard. :)
We've had lots of fun in the water this year! At one point we set up the slip n' slide under the slide and so the kids slipped their way down the slide and down the slip n' slide to the end. The pool is a favorite, though.

That rat is disgusting!! Rats just seem so much dirtier from the wild. That big dog and Libby look like they go together!! I think you need one!
