Learning Log #27 (Feb 17th - Feb 21st)

KEIRA
Math - Keira's math was out of Life of Fred and playing a game of Zeus on the Loose.
ELA - For ELA, Keira did typing lessons, wrote and delivered a report on John Quincy Adams, wrote definitions for the Constitution, started memorizing the Declaration of Independence, and read The Great Little Madison, and Beyonders.
Music - I posted a video of one of Keira's songs that she has almost passed off.  She's practicing every day, and had lessons, as usual.

Keira's also been taking drawing lessons.  This was her first assignment.

ELA - He read from Phantom Tollbooth, had typing lessons, and wrote in his creative writing book.
Tech - He finished up another unit of lessons on Tynker.com this week.  He enjoys programming quite a bit.
Music - He's almost passed off a song from Phineas and Ferb this week, and he also got a few more songs to work on.

LIBBY
Math - We switched things up a little bit this week and worked on some time tests, and worksheets for math.  She appreciates the switch up, and is doing well.
ELA - She finished reading Little Women, started reading Mrs Piggle Wiggle's Farm this week, and continued reading Felicity.  She also did several typing lessons, and creative writing.
Social Studies - We learned some history this week while watching The Story of Us together.
Music - She's still working on a song from Phineas and Ferb for piano, and that's it.  She got some help from her lessons for this song midway through the week.

Libby, also, really loves art.  This is something she did on the whiteboard this week.

WILLIAM
Math - For math, William did a lesson from Life of Fred, and a lesson from Math Seeds.  He also read Amanda Bean's Amazing Dream and learned a different view of counting, using multiplying.
ELA - Will loved reading from a chapter book from The Good & The Beautiful level reading book.  He also did lessons from Reading Eggs, and a typing lesson.
Social Studies - We learned some history this week while watching The Story of Us together.
Tech - He worked on building a truck out of a wood kit this week.  He mostly gathered the materials and painted it.
Portuguese - We learned more words from around the kitchen, and spoke with our aunt who is a native Brazilian and reviewed all the kitchen words we've learned so far.
