Learning Log #25 (Feb 26th - Mar 2nd)

We had a fun field trip to a violin/rock concert on Monday!  The group is called The Black Violin, and they play popular music on their violin's, and give it a beat.

Math
KEIRA finished up her division unit this week with some challenging activities, and then started her unit on factoring.
GARRETT finished up his unit of long subtraction, and created a theorem for it.
LIBBY played games to help her better understand how to add double-digit addition.
WILLIAM did lessons on Math Seeds, exploring numbers and shapes.


ELA (English Language Arts)
KEIRA did lessons out of her ELA book, and read Matilda this week.
GARRETT continued to read Jedi Academy again, and practiced cursive handwriting.
LIBBY started a book club this week, and started reading Kaya (an American Girl story), and did some activities from the book.
WILLIAM continued reading from his Little Leveled book set this week.

We continued our Art unit this week, and started learning about Greek art.  We did pottery with our Dad (who's good at sculpting), and did some mosaic art. 

As usual, we had Piano on Wednesday, and practiced every day.  They're making great progress!  (I love the way Libby sits to play the piano!  hehehe)
