Goodbye 2009!

Happy New Years!!!
Maybe next year I'll be prepared enough to get an actual Christmas card out, but this year it comes in the form of blogging. Here's what we've been up to in 2009:

Richard & Betsy
- Richard won 2nd place in a state radio competition.
- Betsy got pregnant and had a really rough pregnancy that ended well.
- Richard was one of 2 students chosen to go to a blogging convention in Vegas and represent UVU's audio department.
- Richard won first place and got a cash prize in a video competition.
- Richard completed his last full year of school; only 2 semesters left!!!
- We went on a cruise for our 5 year anniversary.

Keira
- Had two more seizures, making 4 total in 18 months. We're still not sure what's causing them.
- Became fully potty trained.
- Learned all of her ABC's, (recognizing them and learning the phonetics).
- Amazed us again with how smart she is and how bossy she can be at the same time.

Garrett
- Had so many ear infections this year that he got tubes in his ears and hasn't had one since.
- Got the flu so bad that he had to be hospitalized for dehydration.
- Fell and hit his eyebrow and had to get stitches.
- Went to nursery.
- Lengthened our life expectancy with his infectious laugh.

Libby
- Was conceived and born this year!
- Started smiling and cooing.
- Started reaching for objects and trying to sit up.
- Made the thought of 3 children a lot scarier then actually having three children by being such an easy baby.

Overall it was a really great year! We had a lot of health concerns, but they were all minor comparatively and had happy endings so they weren't to bad. Lots of exciting things happened with Richard's schooling, we spent a lot of quality time together, we moved to a better location, and best of all we welcomed Libby into the family September 30th, and she's been an absolute joy! It's already looking like 2010 will be a great year as well with lots to look forward to! Richard may be going to Africa for school and graduating shortly after, and who knows what the rest of the year will hold for us after that! We look forward to more time with family and friends and wish you all a happy new year as well!
