Learning Log 10 (October 24-28) KEIRA

This is a bit late, but here's what we did for school during the week of October 24th - 28th with Keira:

Math:
Keira chose to review her times tables this week.  She used multiplication.com to go over numbers 1-4, and then played games to strengthen that knowledge at brainpop.com.
During reading time, Keira colors.
English: For reading this week we read five more chapters in Pollyanna, and discussed them.  On her own, Keira did some lessons on Reading Eggspress, and read books on our Reading Rainbow app.  She also chose to diagram sentences through a game on abcya.com, during her free time.
Science: This week while Garrett was doing his Lego Robotics assignment on earthquake structures, it led us to a whole new lesson on earthquakes.  We talked about the Ring of Fire, the Richter Scale, Seismographs, earthquake drills, and watched videos taken during earthquakes.  It was quite the unexpected science lesson, and very interesting.
Fine Arts: We still haven't started violin, but Keira practiced Piano Maestro (on her own accord) for many, many hours.  She's advancing at a quick pace, and thoroughly enjoying herself.
Tech: Keira did a few Snap Circuit activities this week.  She's working on the projects that teach about resistance.
PE: We had a great time riding bikes and running around outside this week, when it wasn't raining.
