She's a Little Bit of a Fixer Upper

We've been in our house, now for three weeks, and have already done quite a bit of work!  So, here's a summary of what we've updated.

The kitchen needed a lot of help.
None of the appliances worked, so they had to be taken out, and new ones put in.

One extremely hard working and talented husband later...

Also done was a new (matching) dishwasher, a new faucet, a new disposal, and a new outlet.  The cabinets will be our focus next summer.

The basement room (Keira's room), had scraps of carpet in it, and graffiti on the walls.

After many hours spent cleaning, pulling up carpet tack, painting (thanks to Nat, Abbey, and Keira's help), and laying down new laminate flooring (another amazing husband job), we have this...

We've also:

- installed all new fire alarms
- fixed hardware on cabinets around the house
- replaced a few toilets
- put doors on closets and rooms where they weren't on
- fixed up the shed to be a chicken coop

That in addition to the regular moving things, like hooking up the dryer, putting together beds and dressers, and desks, and cleaning like crazy!!!  There's been a lot of work going on!  Lots more to go, but the urgent things have been taken care of.

More posts will be coming as we make changes.  We love fixing things up and making them better!  :)  If only we had more time and energy to spend doing them!
