Friends, and Competitions

Me and my friends were able to get together a few weeks ago (which is getting harder since some of them are out of state now) and we all had a great time, including our kids. Keira loves these girls!! Every time they get together they just giggle and have a blast together! In the picture below we have Haley (Kim's daughter), Eliza (Julie's daughter), and Keira. We caught them being so silly and giggling together and got some pictures of it all. This picture was taken by my friend, Liz. She has great talent as a photographer, and saved my wedding pictures thanks to her abilities. http://lizziedraperphotography.blogspot.com/ This is her website if you want to see more.

In other news, Richard ran a 5k last weekend and did a pretty good job! He got inspired to do more running, and is planning on running another 5k soon. Way to go, Richard! He also just took place in a radio competition yesterday and had a really good time doing that! He and a partner were given 2 hours to create an ad to be played on the radio, only being given the information for the ad at the beginning of the 2 hours. They did a good job (I got to hear it) but they don't know the results of the competition yet. If they win they'll go to state, and then nationals if they win state. Here's hoping they win!!!

Well, that's all for now. There will be more later...

Hi Betsy - I just checked the past five or six updates and have loved reading about your family. Congratulations on your classes, the potty training, the signing, and the awesome fort - you DO rock! :) What a cute mom you are.
We are coming back in town next week and hopeful our kids won't be sick half the time to get together. Let us know when the best time is for you guys when life isn't too crazy.
We love you.

The get togethers are a lot of fun! I hope we can do more of them in the future. It sucks being so far away and not letting Eliza and Keira play!

And way to go Richard!
